Introduction

 

Multiple Sclerosis (=MS) is an inflammatory (swelling), demyelinating (myelin loss) and degenerative (axonal=nerve loss) disease affecting the central nervous system (CNS) including the Brain, Spinal Cord and the Eyes. That is, There is acute inflammation characterized by swelling, injury of the myelin (wrapping of the nerves) and the axons (nerves).
