Vitamins

 

Vitamins are organic compounds that are needed to promote chemical reactions in your body and processes needed for growth, reproduction and overall health.

When eating a balanced diet – there is no recommendation to take vitamin supplementations.

Most studies that done recommend taking fish oil (omega 3). Always better getting the vitamin from your diet since diet sources of vitamins provide you the active form of the vitamin. When taking supplements – it does not provide the active form and often it is not helpful or provide any benefit.

 

Deficiency of certain vitamins lead to specific illnesses.

There are two types of vitamins –

Water Soluble Vitamins – Vitamin B, C

Fat Soluble Vitamins – Vitamin A, D, E, K
